Good things are worth waiting for

Everyday, people come to visit us kitties at Safe Haven. Lots of people look for kittens, or Maine Coon kitties, or Persians, sometimes people come in looking for a kitty that looks alot like the kitty they used to have that they miss now.

We kitties who are older, and not especially fluffy know that someday our special day will come too because there are very special people who come in looking just for us! I have always loved people, and I especially love children. I always hoped some child would come in and fall in love with ME!

Today started out as usual. We all get spoiled by the Safe Haven volunteers who take care of us and then the adoption center opens and people come to visit us. Then the door opened and I saw this wonderful mother and daughter who were gentle and kind. I walked over to introduce myself. They liked me!

This little girl seemed to understand that I needed a good friend!

Before I knew it, they were talking to the adoption counselors and finding out about ME!  The adoption process started and the application was filled out. Everything checked out. They had wonderful vet references, so I know they will take good care of me too! All their personal references came back telling that this family loved animals and were very kind and responsible. I was so excited to think that I might have the home I’ve been waiting for! Soon it was official! I was adopted!! I was going home to this wonderful family and this little girl and I were going to be friends forever! Thank you Safe Haven for giving me this chance to wait until my dream came true! Love, Brooke!
