If you have more time than money, please consider providing foster care to cats who need a little extra care and love. Safe Haven pays for all supplies and vet bills.
Oreo has special needs
One guy who really needs a foster home is Oreo, who tested positive for Feline Leukemia. He’s not sick at all – he just has the virus in his system. He doesn’t even need medications, just a special diet of prescription canned and dry food, which Safe Haven will supply.
Beautiful and sweet, Oreo needs to be an only kitty (although he can live with another cat who also tests positive for Feline Leukemia). He so deserves a home with someone who will love him until he’s adopted. He will be tested again in a few months to see if the first test was wrong (as they sometimes are) but for now, Oreo must be kept away from other cats in a happy and fun environment.
Feline Leukemia cannot be transmitted to people, dogs or other species – only cats. So a cat-friendly dog is fine.
Honeybell is a quiet girl
Honeybell, who’s super easy to care for, also needs a foster home. She’s excellent with her litter box and only eats dry food. She is very quiet. She simply wants to hang out, observe life and sleep. She wants only to be an only cat. Since our adoption center is home to so many other felines, cats who do not care to be around other cats are better off living in foster homes.
Honeybell must be kept indoors only and will be a good companion if you want a quiet, low-maintenance feline friend. Please call 646-1611.
Nayla – a beautiful abuse victim
Nayla is a domestic long-hair cat with a history of abuse and neglect. She was treated badly by the family’s husband and is ultra-sensitive to her surroundings. Like Honeybell, she must also be an only cat. She is very loving, but when other cats are around she’s miserable. She is on a special diet to control her allergies which Safe Haven will supply. We’ll also handle her scheduled allergen injections.
Nayla needs a foster home where she can enjoy a quiet, comforting life with someone who’s willing to help us find her optimum health, both physical and emotional. Once she’s in a home as an only cat, we believe her health will improve. We want the best life for each of our cats, and believe foster care will provide this for Nayla. Please consider fostering her.
Mommies and babies
Several litters and cat families are in need of rescue and we have nowhere to place them. We desperately need foster homes for kittens as well as mother cats and kittens. It’s truly never been this desperate for cats in grave danger.

The kitties thank you!
