Safe Haven Humane Society’s thrift shop is open from 11 – 4 Monday – Saturday. Located in our Adoption Center which is a cozy, cape cod house on route 1 in Wells at 1616 Post Road Maine, our thrift shop fills our two front rooms and hallway.
Everyday, new donations arrive so you need to come often to catch the bargains!
We recently redesigned our big room in the shop to welcome spring! Joyce, Lynne and Joan worked for 6 nights, often till midnight having fun working with texture, light and layout.
Kitties; Pretty Girl, Nayla, Oreo, Tululah, and Peggy Sue, all played hard and napped happily while furniture was moved from corner to corner and glassware was dusted and items were arranged to create a feeling of cheerful calmness.
Old items or out of season items were relocated to our new hallway bargain alley where they are priced at yardsale prices for quick sale!

All the sales from our thrift shop sales support Safe Haven’s No Kill mission to the hundreds of homeless, abandoned, and abused kitties that are desperate for rescue.
Every time you spend money at our shop, you’re helping us pay our vet bills, buy cat food and keep our building heated and running well. It take money to save lives.
Our thrift shop’s success is important to our organization and especially our kitties. That’s why Peggy Sue is checking it out. And we got her approval!
We are thankful to our supporters for bringing us donations daily! No item is ever wasted. 
Glassware, lamps, lamp shades, table runners, books in great condition, jewerly, small tables and furnishings, paintings, prints, collectibles, small trinkets, silk flowers, linens, antiques, whimsical items and pet items are all so appreciated and displayed in ways to create a feeling of fun coastal living.
If we don’t put it in our shop, we put it in our yard sale storage. If it’s something that other charities can use we donate it to them.
We’ll be revamping our smaller room as soon as we get donations of bookshelves, display items such as slat wall, jewerly fixtures, hat stands, shelving and small tables.
