How much cat litter does Safe Haven actually use?

One week's worth of kitty litterWell, here’s about one week’s worth. Ten 35-pound containers. That’s 350 pounds total. Each costs $12-13.

Total cost: Approximately $130.

Actually, that’s not really the total.

These ten containers are barely enough for the 65+ kitties currently residing in our Adoption Center, waiting to be adopted.

Another 40 kitties +/- are in foster care in private homes, where the foster moms and dads usually buy their own food and litter. So add another 250-300 pounds to the total.

That’s why your donations of cat litter — as well as canned and dry cat food and dry kitten food — are so important to us. It saves us money we need to spend on veterinary care, medicine, spays and neuters, etc.

For us to continue our NO-KILL mission, it takes everyone’s help. Won’t you buy one or two tubs of Tidy Cat and drop them off?

If you appreciate our No-Kill work, please consider making a small donation.

Thank you for supporting Safe Haven's No Kill rescue work

The kitties thank you!
