7 cats survive Mass. tornado

A family whose home was destroyed by the tornadoes that struck Massachusetts on June 1 has found all seven of its cats alive and well.

Michael Roescher says all seven of his family’s cats were inside their rented home in Monson, MA, when it collapsed. The last one was recovered from the rubble on Sunday.

He tells The Republican (newspaper) he’s “thrilled” but also “shocked.” He didn’t think there was any way the cats could have survived the devastation.

All were in good shape, except for bruised paws from trying to dig out.

I heard Michael on the Jim and Margarie show on 96.9 and I’m so thrilled to hear about the seventh cat. I had heard about number 6, but not the last one. He sounds like such an amazing caring animal lover! He also was lucky with regards to his fish being rescued! Did you hear about that?
