Dear Safe Haven volunteers,
Wow! What a difference a day makes.
Last night we were driven to a strange place, shoved into a Styrofoam ice cooler and a tarp was thrown over us.
All thru the night, we were terrified. We had no food, no water, no litter box. We didn’t know where we were or what to do.
The next morning somebody removed the tarp. The person looked shocked when she saw us, and called Safe Haven to help.
Kitten rescue team
All we can say is, we’ve never seen so many kind people in one place at one time! Your kitten rescue team is terrific!
We were de-flea-ed by hand, given medicine to kill any remaining fleas, our nails were trimmed and Zeus got his first bath. (He’s still pouting about it as you can see in this photo.)
After his bath, Zeus was dried off with warm dry towels, fresh from the clothes dryer.
We were very hungry. We ate 3 cans of cat food by 5 PM!
With our bellies full, we are now resting and recuperating at the Safe Haven Adoption Center, feeling very lucky to be in the loving hands of these volunteers!
Zeus and I (Samantha) just wanted to be sure you all know how we appreciate being rescued today! And we sure are glad you guys are no-kill!
Love and thanks,
Samantha
PS: They tell us as soon as we get checked out by the vet, we’ll be available for adoption! What d’ya say? Need a roommate?
The kitties thank you!
