Last Saturday was a fantastic adoption day for Safe Haven. Three “special” kitties went to new homes. Each situation was unique and special, making Saturday an especially joyful one.
Licka, a long-term resident of The Budget Box, (St. David’s Thrift Shop) was adopted by someone preparing to retire and wanting her as his forever friend.
Betsy, who’s pregnant, is being fostered-to-adopt by a lovely young couple who will foster her through her pregnancy, then adopt her after her babies are weaned.
Misty, a 21 year-old kitty(!) was adopted thru our “Assisted Adoption” program.
What’s our “Assisted Adoption” program?
To enable people to adopt special needs kitties, our “Assisted Adoption” program pays for the medical needs of each kitty’s unique medical condition. The only stipulation is the adopter must take the kitty to the Safe Haven vet.
Many people want to adopt a special needs kitty but are concerned about high medical bills. We remove that worry by paying it ourselves — because for us, the most important thing is that every kitty be adopted into a loving home.
The kitties thank you!
