June is Adopt a Shelter Cat month and many Safe Haven residents have waited a long time for a home. Come in and talk to our volunteers, get to know the kitties. Sit with them. See who calls to your heart.
Our new My Buddy for Life program provides lifetime vet care when you adopt a shy or older kitty who’s waited a long time for a home. Safe Haven provides expert advice, assistance when needed (e.g., nail trimming), and yearly medical care so the kitty maintains optimal health.
It’s important to us that all our kitties enjoy the comfort and love only a forever home can provide!

Kitties like Grover (above), Prince and Zeus all deserve families. By providing their lifetime vet care, we aim to encourage their adoption NOW so they can enjoy the benefits of family life immediately instead of waiting any longer.
When shy kitties are adopted and learn they’re with a loving forever friend, their personalities bloom. Safe Haven even provides some toys and treats to help gain your kitty’s trust. When you interact with your shy kitty with a toy, the fun becomes a starting point for developing a loving bond.
Treats, given at appropriate times, and laser mouse exercises make for a happy and healthy kitty. Like shy people, shy kitties usually just need some time and encouragement to develop confidence.
Please support the loving work we do. Our kitties receive the best care, and are never threatened with euthanasia. They stay with us until a great home is found, no matter how long it may take. We need your support to help afford our vet bills, mortgage, and specific programs.
