Cupid outdid himself and will be taking a much-deserved rest as our Be My Furry Valentine campaign comes to a close on Feb 19. This adoption campaign so far boasts 31 love matches between kitties and animal-loving people – more than twice our original goal – and many more applications are now being reviewed.
We celebrated this success with our Valentine Bake Sale last Saturday, with pies, breads and cookies baked by our friends and volunteers. Thanks to all who baked and bought to make this such a success.
The kitties are now gearing up for our next adoption campaign: Safe Haven’s St. Catricks Day Adoption Campaign starts Feb. 20. We’re having fun planning this one!
When visiting our Adoption Center be sure to come upstairs and meet Cloudy. It shouldn’t be hard, because Cloudy is usually at the door greeting everyone. He loves to rub his fuzzy coat against you as you walk through. He’s a beautiful cat with a playful, childlike spirit. He had a lion cut weeks ago because he arrived matted and needing grooming, and now he’s beginning to fluff out again.
Once his hair is grown out, Cloudy will be a long-haired beauty but will need daily brushing to keep his white and grey coat tangle-free. Cloudy is laid-back, easy-going, a couch potato type of kitty. Many times he lounges on the playroom sofa on his back, his feet in the air. All he needs is a TV and someone to keep him company. He’s purrfect for a family with other kitties, or in a home where Cloudy will have companionship from attentive people with time to interact. This kitty’s outgoing personality means he has the potential to be a great family member. Come and meet him!
