Butterscotch: declawed, scared and needs a home ASAP

URGENT: One of the kitties at our Adoption Center desperately needs a new home ASAP.

Butterscotch needs a home ASAPButterscotch is a beautiful, sweet kitty, but she’s very unhappy being around the other kitties.

Why? Probably because she was declawed by her previous owner. She feels defenseless around multiple kitties, and her fear makes her act aggressive. She twitches her tail and hisses or cries out when approached.

Visitors avoid or ignore her because they don’t understand the trauma she’s going through.

We urgently need either a foster home or — better yet — a permanent home where Butterscotch could be the only animal in the home. She needs someone with patience, someone understands that she just needs a little time to unwind, settle in, get accustomed to her new surroundings — and to finally realize that she is under no threat of attack.

Are you the loving, understanding person or family who will give her a chance at happiness?

Bonus: You’ll never have to worry about her scratching or clawing your furniture.

If you could provide a temporary or permanent home for Butterscotch, please call our Adoption Center at 207- Mon-Sat. 11-4pm, or call 207-229-8314. Thank you!
