Rosie's storyRosie is a kitty we just rescued who will need a lot of expensive medical care.
This Lynx Point Siamese was the victim of a vicious attack by a predator or possibly a human. She ended up with a broken jaw and fractured tail, her wounds infested with maggots. Today she's in Safe Haven foster care.

Rescue work is never predictible. Tuesday was a great example of the variety and unpredictablilty Safe
Haven faces fulfilling our daily no-kill animal rescue mission. The day included
three life-saving elements: rescue, medical care and fostering.

We found this note in the SH office this morning. We thought you might like to see it, too.
Dear Safe Haven Volunteers,
Our moms (Bitsy and Snow Angel) want to thank you guys for all the hard work you do to help us little homeless ones find great homes.
Without your help, we'd be out there in the fields and in the culverts and under houses, sick, malnourished and frightened. Instead, we live with our loving foster moms and dads who love us!
Thanks to your hard work, we have everything we need!

Animal lovers Rhonda and Sharon, who generously donated a second gigantic cat tree for the enjoyment of the cats we're caring for at our adoption center in Wells.
As you can see from the photo below, Peggy Sue and the other cats are loving it!

Safe Haven's webmaster will donate $50 for every new project we send him. Just be sure to mention Safe Haven when you contact him. Complete WordPress websites start as low as $297. Get all the details here or email tom@mainecreative.com.
Fenway found the home of her dreams when a wonderful couple fell for this sweet calico who had lots of “cat-titude.” Fenway was our office kitty. She loved us, but not the other office cats. She made it clear they had no right to be in her "royal presence." The other cats simply ignored her hissing and swiping at them as they strolled by. But what a home she has found! Someone who loves cats with spunk and spirit. Happiness always, Fenway!
Thanks again for your ongoing generosity and support of No Kill. Our current needs:

There are a lot of lonely kitties that needs
that kind of attention. To be a Safe Haven
foster volunteer, you
don't need to be home
all day. You don't need a spare room or special training.
All you
really need is a little time and love, hands and a heart, and a desire
to care for an
at-risk
cat and/or kittens.
Being a kitty's foster parent is easy. We'll show you everything you need to know. We'll even supply the food, litter and supplies, if needed. Please help -- lives are in the balance. Learn more about fostering here.
